2014 Memories

SC2K14.JPGDSC03239.JPG

This year has been one of the most memorable years of my life at school to be honest. This year has been full of laughter, cries, ugly moments and more. My highlights this year were sports camp and being part of the Leadership team.

SPORTS CAMP 2K14
I was lucky enough to be able to go to sports camp twice. Its a lifetime experience. The only thing that was weird was, last year was easier to get along with other schools. This year it seemed like I don’t know...WEIRD. I have had the most enjoyable time spending a whole week with most of my friends and school mates. Sadly things come to an end.

.LEADERSHIP.
This year I was proudly selected to be one of the schools leaders. As I was luckily selected, we also got the chance to go to the Viaduct Centre to represent our school for the Festival Of Education. We met a lot of nice people and we got free stuff. There were performances to watch and competitions to enter to get free chocolate. But the only thing that was tiring was talking to heaps of people. My mouth was sore at the end of the day.

Out of all the fun things we did this year I am surely gonna miss this school a lot.
All I have to say is make the most of it.

Exponents

Walt: Revising exponents

This game helps you revise your knowledge on exponents including fractions and equations. I found this really confusing at first but I got the hang of it after I did it a few more times. Next I would like to revise some more stuff that I learn’t over the year.

Order Of Operation

Walt: Order of Operation

I found this really fun because it helped me alot with order of operation. The knowledge I used in this was Bedmas. This exercise is really good if you're having problems in order of operation. The last one I didn’t quite understand, but I eventually got the hang of it.
B - Brackets
E - Exponents
D - Division
M - Multiplication
A - Addition
S - Subtraction

Patterns and Rules

Walt: To solve problems in algebra

I found this game really interesting to play. It basically teaches you how to find the next pattern in the sequence and sometimes it’ll tell you how many more sticks to make up the next pattern. This game helps me revise my knowledge on patterns and rules. Unfortunately I did not make it up to hard and extreme, but I think I did well because if I had one more question and I got it right I would’ve went onto the hard level. Math Shapes

Walt: To name shapes.

This game was like a test. It was a bit easy for me, but the hard thing was playing against the clock. Next time I would like to get all the questions under 10 seconds. I think this game is really good for learning the names to shapes because you have a timer to time you.
Next I would like to learn what nets are all about.

Snowman Division

Walt: Find how many sets.

This game is just like the Candy Division game, but this game is just a different theme. This game helped me revise my multiplication and division. I found this game quite easy because I could easily use my multiplication. Next time I would like something more challenging for me to learn more. I didn't find out my score, but I know that I got about 100% because I didn't get any wrong. My strategy is using my multiplication.

Jump in with me!

Today Glen Innes School went to the G.I. centre to show off our sick, (slang for amazing) moves and skills. Of Course many parents and some Glen Innes community residents came down to enjoy what us kids love to do. We love to keep our heart healthy and keep it pumping.

We started off with room 1 who were extremely good for children who have just started school. Some kids skipped so well that they looked as if they weren't even 5 or 6 years old.
So basically all the classes went in classroom orders.

I really loved room 10's performance because its was mixed with skipping and dancing. Nor did they just skip and dance but there were also some lovely bright smiles coming from them. I thought room 11's skipping routine was a bit off. Some students looked lost and confused and some looked angry. In my opinion I thought that they should’ve all skipped together rather than just having groups coming into the centre and skipping. It’s all about getting your heart up and running, not sitting and watching. Besides that I did enjoy watching.
Of course they left the best class for last (jokes). Its funny because room 12 were actually struggling with music and ideas, but today happened like we weren't even worried. Its actually something we’re good at. We muck around at the start and end up with an amazing performance.

I really enjoyed skipping in front of a cheerful crowd. It was fun and exhausting at the same time.
